Plumber in Phoenix, Arizona
Phoenix is too big to generalize about. A 1920s bungalow in Willo and a 2005 build in Desert Ridge have almost nothing in common below the floor, and the plumbing problems people call us about track the neighborhood far more than the city.

What Phoenix homes are built like
The historic districts — Willo, Encanto, Coronado, F.Q. Story — are largely 1920s–1940s, and many retain galvanized supply and cast iron drains. Arcadia, North Central and Sunnyslope are midcentury: 1950s–60s ranch homes on slab with copper supply. Maryvale is a large 1950s–60s tract development of similar vintage. Ahwatukee filled in through the 1980s and 1990s, and Desert Ridge and the far north edge are 2000s builds on PEX. Each of those eras fails differently and on its own schedule.

What we get called for in Phoenix
Cast iron sewer lines in the historic core
Central Phoenix has mature trees, and mature trees find cast iron joints. Root intrusion is the single most common cause of repeat main line backups in these neighborhoods. Jetting clears them properly; a camera shows whether the pipe survived.
Slab leaks in midcentury tracts
1950s–60s homes ran copper under the slab. Sixty years on, those lines develop leaks that show up as a warm floor patch, an unexplained water bill, or the sound of running water with everything off. Rerouting above the slab is often cheaper than breaking through it.
Pressure problems on older mains
Municipal pressure varies across the city, and homes without a working regulator can run well above the 65 psi that fixtures are designed for. High pressure quietly destroys supply lines, valves, and water heaters.
